Fox News host Laura Ingraham is being slammed all over the internet after telling her viewers there was “no real scientific basis” to support social distancing to reduce the spread of coronavirus, because it doesn’t work.
Ingraham’s dismissal of social distancing as a way to control the spread of COVID-19 was met with widespread condemnation after a clip of her segment started circulating on Twitter.
Joe Walsh, a former Republican member of the House of Representatives, responded to Ingraham’s comments by warning that watching Fox News could get viewers killed:
“Have I mentioned before that watching Fox News can get you killed?” he wrote on Twitter, sharing a clip of Ingraham contradicting public health officials who have promoted social distancing to limit contact between people and therefore reduce the spread of the virus.

Walsh wasn’t alone in calling out Ingraham:
.@FoxNews — what Laura ingraham said tonight on her show was deadly. You need to remove her from the air. She is habitual liar and a science denier. You said you would hold your hosts accountable for what they put out there… The bill has finally come due. Fire her, NOW.

"Dr." Laura Ingraham, just so you know, I had to ration my supply of #Hydroxychloroquine for my Lupus these last 3 weeks. I FINALLY got my 90 day supply. All because people like yourself continue to PUSH this drug with no efficacy EXCEPT Veterans died while on this drug. https://t.co/DjmOSSnhZ5
