According to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, the White House just briefed seven Republican Congressmen on the recent bombshell report that Russia offered a bounty for the heads of American troops in Afghanistan.
According to Collins, “[Liz]Cheney, [Mac]Thornberry, [Michael]McCaul, [Andy]Biggs, [Jim]Banks, [Adam]Kinzinger & [Elise]Stefanik were briefed by O’Brien, Ratcliffe and Meadows.”
Seven lawmakers were just briefed on the reports about Russians offering bounties to Taliban-linked militants to kill U.S. troops. Cheney, Thornberry, McCaul, Biggs, Banks, Kinzinger & Stefanik were briefed by O'Brien, Ratcliffe and Meadows, I'm told.

The report by Collins drew outrage after people accused the Trump administration of giving the GOP “talking points” to prove that the report was “fake news,” as Trump himself called it.
“Intel just reported to me that they did not find this info credible, and therefore did not report it to me or @VP. Possibly another fabricated Russia Hoax, maybe by the Fake News @nytimesbooks, wanting to make Republicans look bad!!!” Trump tweeted over the weekend.
The Fake News @ nytimes must reveal its “anonymous” source. Bet they can’t do it, this “person” probably does not even exist! https://t.co/pdg4AjybOG

It is still unclear why Democrats were not invited to the briefing.
Take a look at how Twitter users reacted below:
There you go. Sounds right

Getting their lies in order so they don’t contradict one another…

Absolutely right! When will this administration understand that tax payers are not exclusively republicans?

So…the article is true? If this meeting proved the article wrong, they would have invited Democrats…and gloated

7? What about the rest of the 100 senators? Members of the house?
FULL PUBLIC BRIEFING PLEASE.

Coordinating their lies to attempt to defend the indefensible.

Looks like a GOP-only briefing–which surely means it is about talking points and not actually updating CONGRESS…
— Absolute Immunity (@publicola05) June 29, 2020
That's not a briefing, that a Republican strategy lunch.
A briefing includes everyone.
— Lizerenity (@Lizerenity) June 29, 2020
It's so obvious that they have been told to cover up for Trump. Geez @Liz_Cheney you all don't even try to make it look legit. You're supposed to be the smart one of that group too.
— preising (@preising) June 29, 2020
It's not a briefing unless democrats were also invited. This is a cover up.
