A heated argument broke out in the Oval Office on Friday between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who was visiting Washington to ask for continued US security aid.
The exchange became loud and tense, with Trump and Zelensky, joined by Vice President JD Vance, arguing over the details of US support and whether Zelensky had shown enough appreciation.
“You’re not really in good position right now,” Trump said, raising his voice.
“You’re gambling with World War III,” he added.
Vance also criticized Zelensky, calling him “disrespectful” for trying to discuss the issue in public.
