A shooting at an apartment complex in Austin, Texas, on Sunday left three people dead, local officials said.
The Austin-Travis County EMS said police and paramedics responded to an active shooter situation around 11:42 a.m. Three adults were declared dead at the scene, authorities said.
The shooting took place at an apartment complex, according to the Austin Police Department.
Residents have been advised to avoid the 9600 block of Great Hills Trail in northwest Austin. Those who are in the vicinity have been advised to shelter in place.
