Sean Spicer Drowned In Sea Of Mockery After Jobs Report Crushes His Prediction

Ron Delancer

Former Trump White House press secretary Sean Spicer —who notoriously screamed at reporters in his first press conference for reporting the size of Trump’s inauguration crowd— sparked an avalanche of mockery on Friday after the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the US created a better-than-expected number of jobs created in January. Spicer had suggested that the Biden administration would have a hard time explaining it, seemingly predicting a poor report.

“the White House spin on tomorrow’s jobs report will be fun,” Spicer tweeted on Thursday.

According to the jobs report published Friday, however, the United States’ jobs recovery got a greater-than-expected boost, adding 467,000 jobs in January. The report also shows show that under President Joe Biden the U.S. for the first time ever created 7 million jobs in a 12-month period.

Naturally, Spicer’s prediction didn’t go unnoticed by social media users and mockery quickly ensued.
