MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough didn’t mince words as he ripped into Donald Trump’s latest self-serving Memorial Day statement, lambasting anyone who continues to support the former president.
In a shocking holiday post, Trump raged against the “human scum” involved in his legal troubles, completely ignoring the significance of Memorial Day and the sacrifices of military service members while potentially opening himself up to additional lawsuits by E. Jean Carroll
Scarborough didn’t hold back his disgust.
“We’ve heard from President Trump’s own staff members about him being completely baffled by service to one’s country in the military, by the loss of life, basically calling those who were killed losers,” Scarborough said. “The contrast not just between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, but between Donald Trump and every president that’s ever served this country before when we get to this point.”

Scarborough didn’t stop there. He also targeted the wealthy businessmen funding Trump’s campaign, accusing them of selfishly prioritizing their financial interests over the country’s values.
“I must address the so-called patriots in their fleece vests who support Trump just to line their pockets,” Scarborough fumed. “It’s absurd—the Dow is at 40,000. These self-righteous individuals, who have long boasted about their patriotism and told others to ‘love America or leave it,’ are now backing a man who belittles the memory of those who served and sacrificed for America.”
Scarborough’s frustration was palpable. “Again, we’re not shocked by anything Donald Trump says,” he said. “We’re not shocked by anything he says anymore. We are shocked by those we know who watch this man denigrate the memory of the fallen and happily support him, happily vote for him, happily turn the country back over to him.”
