Terrifying footage has emerged online showing a Russian tank ramming into a civilian car, crushing it with an elderly driver inside.
A second clip shows a group of civilians rushing to save the driver, who was miraculously rescued alive as more Russian troops draw closer.
The video has gone viral with social media users slamming the Russian aggression as a “criminal.”
The development comes as the European Union is set to sanction Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov over the atrocities against Ukrainians.
“We now also list the President of the Republic Mr. Putin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Lavrov,” German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock told reporters on her way into the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels on Friday, according to CNN.
“They are responsible for the fact that innocent people die in Ukraine, they are responsible for the fact that the international system is trampled upon and we as Europeans do not accept that,” she said.
