President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani reportedly discussed a potential carte blanche of a pardon with the president, The New York Times reports.
The report doesn’t specify what triggered the conversation, and what class of yet-to-be-charged crimes such a pardon would cover.
Manhattan, NY, federal prosecutors have been investigating Giuliani since last year, reportedly asking questions about the former New York City mayor’s finances and his involvement in elements of President Trump’s effort to pressure the Ukrainian government into manufacturing dirt on Biden.
Giuliani fired back at the report, tweeting: “NYT lies again. Never had the discussion they falsely attribute to an anonymous source. Hard to keep up with all their lies.”
