Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who made up his mind about acquitting Donald Trump before the impeachment trial even began, is now calling for an investigation into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), claiming she is to blame for the lack of security preparations at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
Johnson took to Twitter to demand the investigation.
“There is much to be investigated + many questions remain unanswered regarding Capitol Hill security on 1/6. What did Speaker Pelosi know about security preparations? Why have the @HouseSAA and @SenateSAA not responded to my letters? The public deserves full transparency.”

Johnson’s call for an investigation was met with mockery.
Weren’t you chairman of the homeland security committee?

Whataboutism, attempts to discredit an opponent's position by hypocritically attacking them, without directly refuting or disproving their argument.
It is particularly associated with RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA!
And Republican propaganda of course…

I didn’t realize Nancy was in charge of National Security and The National Guard. Let’s call Nancy as a Witness, Ron.

Full transparency is a trial – which you voted against holding. Full transparency would be witnesses. Full transparency would be Donald Trump testifying. If you want a full investigation and transparency, stop pointing your fingers of disinformation and have an investigation.
