Congressional Republicans with the House Judiciary Committee are facing harsh criticism after sending out a message on their Twitter account dismissing the findings of the House Select Committee as “old news.”
During Thursday’s primetime hearing, the Jan. 6 panel laid out indisputable evidence of a criminal plot by Donald Trump and his allies to illegally remain in power by overturning Joe Biden’s 2020 electoral victory over false claims of voter fraud.
But the GOP minority cast the evidence presented at the hearing as unimportant, tweeting: “All. Old. News.”
As expected, the responses were fast and furious, with some critics accusing the House republicans of treason. Others shared new videos and testimonies aired during the hearing.
Traitorous scum.
