Facing harsh criticism over his praising of Vladimir Putin, former President Donald Trump doubled down on his adulation of the Russian dictator on Wednesday and criticized President Joe Biden amid Russia’s aggression towards Ukraine.
“Putin is playing Biden like a drum. It is not a pretty thing to watch!” Trump said an early-morning statement shared on Twitter by his spokesperson Liz Harrington.
Trump’s latest remark comes a day after GOP Reps Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger excoriated his previous comments that celebrated Putin’s move on Ukraine and blamed Biden for the crisis.
