A portion of highway I-285 was closed on Saturday after a cow fell out of a livestock trailer and held up traffic for about an hour near Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday.

According to the Dunwoody Police Department, the cow was first reported running on the I-285 highway around 9 a.m. on Saturday. Officers and civilians teamed up and were able to capture the cow with the use of rope and returned the cow to its owner.

Police said that, at one point, three lanes of the highway were closed due to the animal. Traffic returned to normal about an hour later.

“Traffic was moving a little. Cars were slowly getting by. Then all of the sudden this cow comes running around the corner with a gentleman chasing him. I was surprised when I saw it, but I guess it is Atlanta,” Michael Gerbick, a witness to the event who was heading to work, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
