Police and a bomb squad scrambled after receiving a tip about multiple explosive devices planted in different buildings in a West Virginia town, including at a federal courthouse and a church, local news outlet The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reports.
According to the Telegraph, officers detonated a bomb found inside a federal courtyard and evacuated the Westminster Presbyterian Church on Washington Street as they searched for a second bomb reported at the site.
Officers were also dispatched to a residence on Washington Street to investigate reports of a third explosive device, the news outlet reported.
At 1:10 p.m., bomb squad units were seen preparing to enter the church and at about 2 p.m. moved to the nearby residence of a suspect, where the third device is suspected to be.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
