In a bold statement Wednesday, the former Vice President said it’s time for the Trump administration to come clean on everything about Jeffrey Epstein. Speaking on CBS News’s The Takeout, Pence declared that Americans deserve answers — and the White House needs to stop blocking the truth.
“The time has come for the administration to release all of the files regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s investigation and prosecution,” Pence told host Major Garrett.
Pence said while victims’ identities must be protected, the truth about who was connected to Epstein can’t be hidden any longer.
“It’s important that we protect the names of the victims,” he said. “They should be excluded from any disclosure, but whether or not the facts justify charges, I think that anyone who participated or was associated with this despicable man ought to be held up to public scrutiny.”
“I just think we ought to get the facts to the American people,” he added. “I mean, I’ve always believed in transparency.”
Pence joins a growing list of conservatives demanding more from the Trump administration. Hardcore Trump supporters like Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and far-right activist Laura Loomer are calling for a full investigation, even a special counsel. They’re not buying the official line — and they’re not backing down.
Trump, on the other hand, is lashing out.
In a long and angry post on Truth Social, the former president slammed his critics and labeled the whole controversy a fake narrative.
“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bulls‑‑‑,’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump wrote. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”
Last week, the Justice Department and FBI released a memo claiming there was no Epstein client list and that he died by suicide — not murder — in a New York jail cell in 2019.
But that hasn’t convinced anyone in Trump’s MAGA base. Many believe Epstein’s connections run deep — and that powerful names are being protected. The new report also clashes with past statements from Trump ally and former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who earlier this year said the list was “sitting on my desk.”
Trump has praised Bondi and wants Republicans to move on.
But Pence is piling on, saying the truth needs to come out. No more delays. No more cover-ups.
“Get the facts to the American people.”
