Former U.S. Attorney General William Barr’s new memoir is scheduled to hit book stores this coming March, but it’s already raising eyebrows over its title.
The book reportedly paints a “vivid and forthright” look into Barr’s tenure in two “drastically different” presidents —Donald Trump and George H.W. Bush— According to William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, who is releasing Barr’s book
“Barr takes readers behind the scenes during seminal moments of the Bush administration in the 1990s, from the LA riots to Pan Am 103 and Iran Contra,” Morrow said Tuesday.
“With the Trump administration, Barr faced an unrelenting barrage of issues, such as Russiagate, the opioid epidemic, Chinese espionage, big tech, the COVID outbreak, civil unrest, the first impeachment, and the 2020 election fallout,” he added.
While the content of the book is certain to generate some interest, it’s the title of the book, “One Damn Thing After Another,” that has people talking.

On this, Bill Barr and I completely agree. I also would title a book about his tenure at the Justice Department "One Damn Thing After Another."
But with a slightly different subhed: "And Each More Gobsmackingly Corrupt Than The Last."https://t.co/iOjG1qrGEc

The title really captures how we all felt watching him repeatedly capitulate to the unethical and illegal whims of his boss https://t.co/4CsiGSMOjp

At first I thought this was a parody. Especially the title of the “book.” pic.twitter.com/ov98VkWpOb

Interesting title. A commentary on the Administrations under which he served, or a condemnation of the nation? Someone will have to tell me.

He nabbed that title before DOJ reporters could claim it for their own memoirs of life on the beat. 🚨🚨 https://t.co/UKfJ0cBsc2

Plotline: Bill Barr has to cover up for Trump's endless crime spree and make it look kosher. Going to read it for self-incriminating evidence. Will not be purchasing, however. pic.twitter.com/XaIPzX7VRK

Weird that he titled it after a phrase used to describe boring historical accounts that refuse to explain why things happen and who has agency. https://t.co/yJ5WgXVKft
