It takes a special kind of journalist to dedicate an entire segment attacking a dog for not looking “presidential.” But that’s exactly what the Newsmax show “Greg Kelly Reports” did on Friday in an attempt to smear one of President Joe Biden’s German Shepherd dogs.
“Doesn’t he look a little, uh, a little rough?” Kelly asked as he showed a photo of the dog to accompany his commentary.
“I love dogs, but this dog needs a bath and a comb and all kinds of love and care. I’ve never seen a dog in the White House like this,” he said. “I remember Buddy, I remember Millie, I remember lots of dogs, but not a dog who seems — I don’t know, I don’t know how much love and care he is getting.”
“This dog looks like from — I’m sorry, from the junkyard,” he said as he introduced two presidential historians for a panel discussion of the canine.
