An original producer of Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice,” Bill Pruitt, has come forward with shocking allegations now that his non-disclosure agreement (NDA) has expired. Pruitt, who worked on the show during its initial years starting in 2008, has revealed appalling details about Trump’s behavior, describing instances of casual racism, misogyny, and fraud.
In a bombshell piece for Slate, Pruitt alleges that the reality show deliberately misled viewers about Trump’s true nature. “By carefully misleading viewers about Trump—his wealth, his stature, his character, and his intent—the competition reality show set about an American fraud that would balloon beyond its creators’ wildest imaginations,” he wrote.
Pruitt did not hold back, detailing Trump’s casual use of the N-word. He recalled a moment when Trump expressed concern that viewers wouldn’t accept a Black winner on the show, reportedly saying, “Yeah… but, I mean, would America buy a n—-r winning?”
The exposé also covers Trump’s demeaning treatment of women. Pruitt describes Trump’s habit of leering at female staff, making lewd comments about their appearance. He recounted an incident where Trump ordered a female camera operator off an elevator, dismissing her with, “She’s too heavy.” In another instance, Trump ogled a female camera operator, comparing her to his daughter Ivanka: “There’s a beautiful woman behind that camera. That’s all I want to look at.”
Pruitt highlighted Trump’s notorious reputation for stiffing people who worked for him. He recounted a conversation with an architect who had worked on a Trump project, only to be shortchanged. “It’s bittersweet. I’m very proud of this place, but I wasn’t paid what was promised. Trump pays half upfront but he’ll stiff you for the rest once the project is completed,” the architect lamented. The architect explained the futility of legal action: “If I tried to sue, the legal bills would be more than what I was owed. He knew that. He basically said, ‘Take what I’m offering.'”
These explosive revelations paint a damning picture of Trump’s behavior behind the scenes, shedding new light on the former president’s controversial persona.
