Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is turning up the heat in a growing feud that’s quickly spilling out of control — this time aiming her fury at one of her own party’s top officials.

Mace, who’s been in a tense back-and-forth with American Airlines after an ugly scene at Charleston International Airport, is now threatening to take South Carolina’s Republican attorney general, Alan Wilson, “down in flames.”

The chaos began when reports surfaced that Mace had berated TSA agents during a profanity-laced meltdown over airport security measures. The congresswoman has denied any wrongdoing and is now preparing to hit back with a defamation lawsuit targeting both the airport and American Airlines.

“This lawsuit against the airport and American Airlines is long. And it’s gnarly,” Mace posted early Wednesday morning. “They should never have targeted me, should never have filed false incident report(s) and then leak them.”

But it didn’t stop there. Mace went further, warning that the legal battle could have serious collateral damage within South Carolina’s Republican establishment.

“This suit may bring South Carolina’s Attorney General down in flames with it, and several others,” she wrote, before adding, “It’s definitely going to shake up the political consultant class in South Carolina too. They did not think this through. Goodness.”

The congresswoman’s threat is already sending shockwaves through the state’s GOP circles, where insiders say Mace’s willingness to go scorched-earth against fellow Republicans has left many rattled.

Mace, who’s long had a complicated relationship with her own party — sometimes aligning with the MAGA wing, other times sparring with it — seems to be digging in for a prolonged fight. If her words are any indication, the coming legal and political storm won’t be quiet.
