Elon Musk put on an utterly wild show during a recent Fox interview with Sean Hannity, where he acted out what people with Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) are supposedly like. And he did it with such energy that it looked like he’d just been “shot up with a mix of meth and rabies.” All this while former President Donald Trump sat quietly next to him.
In a clip from the interview, Hannity couldn’t help but point out that Musk has “rescued astronauts” and runs the world’s biggest electric car company. Then he hit Musk with a classic question: “I would think liberals would love the fact that you have the biggest electric vehicle company in the world.”
Musk agreed but then said, “Yeah. I mean, I used to be adored by the left, you know?” He then dove into a rant about Trump Derangement Syndrome, claiming people who are affected by it lose all sense of reason. “This whole sort of like, you know, it was they call it like ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome,’ and, you know, you don’t realize how real this is until, like, you can’t reason with people.”
Musk then shared a bizarre story to drive his point home. “I was at a friend’s birthday party in L.A., just a birthday dinner, and it was like a nice quiet dinner. Everything was — everyone’s behaving normally,” he said. “And then I have to mention —this is before the election, like a month or two before — I have to mention the president’s name, and it was like they got shot with a dart in the jugular that contained, like, the methamphetamine and rabies!”
At this point, Musk dramatically demonstrated what people with TDS look like. He busted out a dance move straight from Michael Jackson’s Thriller video, which delighted Hannity. Meanwhile, Trump sat there, trying not to cringe, subtly looking away as if he was a bit uncomfortable.
Musk wrapped up by saying, “Okay. And like, wow, I haven’t like, what is it guys like? You can have like a normal conversation. And it’s like, it’s like that becomes completely irrational.”
