The wave of gun violence in the US continued this weekend. Several law enforcement agencies are responding to a shooting in Times Square, The New York Post reports.
“A mother and her 3-year-old daughter were shot Saturday evening in Times Square, police sources told The Post. The gunfire erupted just before 5 p.m. at West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue,” the NY Post reports. “The mother was struck in the leg and the child was hit in the upper torso, law enforcement sources said.”
The two were taken to Bellevue Hospital.
The news comes after a mass shooting was reported at Aventura Mall in Miami, Florida.
“Three people have been transported to area hospitals following a shooting at Aventura Mall on Saturday afternoon, CBS Miami reported, citing the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
The shooting took place at around 4 p.m. at the mall located in the 19500 block of Biscayne Blvd,” according to the report.
