At least six people have been shot at a church in Laguna Woods, California, local authorities reported on Sunday.
Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a church on the 24000 block of El Toro Road in Laguna Woods. “Multiple victims have been shot. More details to follow, PIO en route,” the Orange County Sherriff’s office tweeted.
“We have detained one person and have recovered a weapon that may be involved,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office tweeted.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting local officials.
The news comes less than 24 hours since a gunman in killed 10 people in Buffalo, New York.
