At least four people are dead and several others injured after a gunman opened fire in a Tulsa, Oklahoma, medical building on Wednesday, local station 6ABC News reports.
Citing Tulsa police, the station reported the shooter was also dead. Police did not say how the shooter died.
Tulsa police Capt. Richard Meulenberg said multiple people were wounded and that “some, unfortunately, were killed.” He said it was a “catastrophic scene.”
“Officers are currently going through every room in the building checking for additional threats,” police said, according to the report. “We know there are multiple injuries, and potentially multiple casualties.”
Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are also at the scene, the report states.
So far, there have been 233 mass shootings this year as of June 1.
