Joe Scarborough couldn’t hold back his laughter Tuesday morning after airing a fiery rant from Donald Trump slamming MSNBC and CNN over their war coverage.
The Morning Joe host played raw footage of Trump speaking to reporters as he left the White House for Joint Base Andrews, on his way to a NATO summit in The Hague. What followed was an unfiltered, angry tirade aimed squarely at the media.
“I have no choice,” Trump said. “I got to watch that garbage. It’s all garbage. It’s all fake news, but I think CNN is a gutless group of people. And the people that run it, nobody even knows, it’s been sold so many times. But the people that run it ought to be ashamed.”
He didn’t stop there. Trump then turned his fire toward MSNBC and its parent company.
“MSDNC, a guy named Brian Roberts, he heads it. He’s a disgrace. He’s a weak, pathetic disgrace.”
Scarborough burst out laughing as the clip played on live TV. “We certainly got his!” he said, clearly caught off guard by the intensity of Trump’s remarks.
The segment went out with almost no delay — even airing an uncensored curse word Trump dropped during the rant. Scarborough later added, “We got the president’s media critique on CNN and MSNBC at the beginning.”
The moment lit up the show, highlighting both Trump’s ongoing war with the press and the sometimes surreal nature of covering him in real time.
