A large protest movement against President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk is set to take place on Saturday, under the banner “Hands Off!” It is expected to be the biggest single-day demonstration since Trump became president.

Trump’s policies have sparked anger across the country, affecting people from all walks of life, including those impacted by political, economic, social, and legal changes.

The “Hands Off!” website states, “This is not just corruption. This is not just mismanagement. This is a hostile takeover.”

By the numbers: More than 1,100 rallies, events, and meetings have been scheduled in all 50 states as of Wednesday afternoon.

Organizers reported nearly 250,000 people had RSVP’d to attend as of March 29.

Protesters are speaking out against several Trump administration policies, such as how they handle Social Security benefits, federal government layoffs, attacks on consumer protections, and anti-immigrant and anti-transgender actions.

The protests also focus on Elon Musk’s involvement in the government, particularly his connections with DOGE. Musk has already faced protests from the #TeslaTakedown movement at Tesla dealerships worldwide.

The “Hands Off!” demonstrations will take place at state capitals, federal buildings, congressional offices, and city centers.

Many advocacy groups are supporting the protests, including the Center for LGBTQ Economic Advancement & Research, Declaration for American Democracy, and the Human Rights Campaign.

“This is a nationwide mobilization to stop the most brazen power grab in modern history,” the movement’s website says.

The movement also claims that Trump, Musk, and other billionaires are attacking the government, the economy, and people’s rights—with Congress enabling these actions every step of the way.
