A youth director at Oakwood Church in Augusta Township, Michigan, has been arrested on multiple charges related to the sexual abuse of children. Zachary Radcliff, 29, faces serious allegations, including criminal sexual conduct and soliciting child sexually abusive material.
The Michigan State Police began investigating Radcliff on October 2 after receiving reports that he had solicited inappropriate material from a minor. Following these reports, search warrants were executed at both his office and home.
Radcliff, a self-described “MAGA fanatic” has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, two counts of child sexually abusive activity, and six counts of using the internet to commit a crime. If convicted, he could face a life sentence in prison.
Authorities have identified multiple victims in the case. In a statement, Oakwood Church expressed their shock, saying, “The information we received was shocking. We are devastated by these allegations and are fully committed to the safety of our church community.”
Radcliff, who is the son of the church’s senior pastor, was suspended with pay on October 3 but was terminated on October 12 as the investigation progressed.
The church has pledged full cooperation with law enforcement and is providing counseling services for those affected by Radcliff’s actions. They are encouraging anyone with information or who may have been impacted to come forward.
Michigan State Police are urging additional victims or anyone with relevant information to contact Trooper Ryan at the Michigan State Police Brighton Post at 517-899-6174. Oakwood Church also welcomes inquiries from the community at 734-944-1215 or info@oakwoodchurch.org.
