Michael Flynn May Have Just Blew Up His Pardon After ‘Military Coup’ Comments Caught On Tape

During a far-right event in Dallas this weekend, Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn delivered a shocking speech, in which he called for a military coup in the United States to install their own leader in Donald Trump, arguing that there was “no reason” why a coup like the one in Myanmar shouldn’t happen in the United States. He then added for emphasis: “It should happen here.”

Flynn, who was one of the recipients of a multitude of last-minute pardons that Donald Trump handed out to his cronies, told the crowd: “I want to know why what happened in Myanmar can’t happen here?” he asked the audience as they cheered. “No reason. I mean, it should happen.”

Flynn may believe he’s above the law, but with his comments, he may have just blown it for himself.

This is not only a direct call to violence, it’s a direct call for the violent overthrow of the United States government. Given Michael Flynn’s status as a retired U.S. Military General, and the role he helped play in inciting the January 6th Capitol attack, Flynn’s words this weekend have to be seen as a felony.

Pardons don’t cover crimes that are committed after the pardon was issued.

And this isn’t the first time Flynn has called for violence in order to install an authoritarian regime with Trump as president. After the 2020 election, he called on Trump to declared Martial Law to prevent Biden from taking over the country.
