Firefighters from Mexico are now in Texas, helping search for people swept away by deadly flash floods in the Hill Country.
More than 20 firefighters from Ciudad Acuña and Fundación 911 crossed the border to support rescue efforts in Kerr County.
They showed up Sunday morning and jumped right into the mission, teaming up with the Mountain Home Fire Department.
“We train together to be ready for this,” one of the group leaders told KPRC 2. “We work hand-in-hand with U.S. fire departments.”
These firefighters didn’t just bring more people—they brought drones and other high-tech tools to help locate the dozens of Texans still missing after the floodwaters tore through the region.
Their support turns this into an international rescue mission, driven by urgency, grit, and the hope of saving lives.
