Both CNN and NBC News reported on Wednesday that First Lady Melania Trump’s chief of staff Stephanie Grisham resigned as a result of the violent riots that took place in Washington D.C.
Grisham was expected to remain for the final few weeks in her position, but things appeared to change amid the violence.
CNN.com reported that Grisham hasn’t given a statement for why her resignation came at this time.
According to NBC News, she resigned “over the violence on Capitol Hill.”
