First Lady Melania Trump used a White House celebration of Women’s History Month to promote her own career—and to describe herself as a “visionary.”
Speaking to guests gathered for the event, Melania offered thoughts on success while highlighting the path she says led to her various ventures.
“As a visionary, I know success is not born overnight, but rather takes shape after long, and sometimes challenging process,” she told the audience.
During the remarks, the first lady listed several roles she believes define her work and experience, describing herself as “a mother, humanitarian, philanthropist, and entrepreneur.”
Melania also promoted her latest project, a film titled Melania, explaining that she played a major role in bringing it to life.
She said she “shaped its creative direction, served as a producer, managed post production and activated the marketing campaign.”
Throughout the speech, Melania emphasized the mindset she says helped guide her ventures. According to the first lady, curiosity has been a key factor in her ability to move across multiple industries.
Noting that “curiosity is a core value” that keeps her “ahead of the curve,” she said her “unrestricted mindset” has allowed her to work in a wide range of sectors.
Those efforts, she explained, include projects involving “fashion, digital assets, publishing, accessories, skincare, commercial television, and of course, filmmaking.”
“Often alone at the top, I follow my passion,” she said. “Listen to my instincts, and always maintain a laser focus.”
Beyond discussing her own ventures, the first lady also spoke broadly about the role women play in shaping American society, particularly through family and community.
“The strength of America is closely tied to the role women play in shaping their children’s character, education, and morals,” she said.
Melania concluded by praising the broader influence of women across the country, saying their leadership reaches into politics, business, and community life.
“A woman’s influence strengthens our democracy, capital markets, and time-tested business institutions,” Melania said. “Across the country today, women are finding unique ways to balance career, ambition, and family.”
The remarks capped the White House event recognizing the achievements and contributions of women nationwide during Women’s History Month.
