On Friday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany was asked if Donald Trump confronted Russian President Vladimir Putin about the bounties he placed on U.S. soldiers during the telephone call.

McEnany decided to dodge the question by claiming that the reports about Russian bounties had not been verified.

One reporter asked: “Did Trump raise the issue of Russian bounties on American troops during his call with Putin?”

This was McEnany’s response: “As you know, that intelligence is unverified still to this day … I won’t get into the president’s private discussions with a foreign leader.”
