The Washington Post reported this week that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) wants nothing to do with Donald Trump ever again and has vowed to never speak to the former president.
The publication reported Wednesday that the Senate minority leader hasn’t directly communicated with Trump for more than a month.
“McConnell has not spoken with Trump since Dec. 14 — the day McConnell acknowledged President Biden won the November election — and he does not plan to ever speak with him again, people close to him say,” the Post wrote.
Trump has recently attacked McConnell after the Republican leader criticized him.
This week, Trump released a manifesto calling McConnell a “dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack” and demanding the GOP remove him from leadership — to which McConnell reportedly laughed when informed of it.
