Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) took to Twitter on Monday where he compared Donald Trump to legendary actor and martial artist Chuck Norris, claiming that the president is too tough to get seriously ill from COVID-19. His comparison quickly backfired when people began trolling the Republican lawmaker.
Gaetz cracked a “Chuck Norris facts”-style joke about the president’s COVID-19 infection to imply the potentially deadly virus had more to fear from its obese, 74-year-old host than the president did from his infection.
“President Trump won’t have to recover from COVID,” Gaetz tweeted. “COVID will have to recover from President Trump. #MAGA”

Twitter users didn’t take long to begin trolling Gaetz for comparing an obese and out of shape Trump to a man who dedicated his life to martial arts.
