Maskless Woman Flips Out At Pizza Shop Employees, Drives Over Cop’s Foot After Being Asked To Wear Mask

A Michigan woman was arrested for making a scene inside of a pizza shop after being asked to wear a mask, and driving over a police officer’s foot while attempting to flee the premises, Fox 4KC reports.

The woman, who has been identified as Tammy Rose North, reportedly made obscene gestures at employees and then attempted to leave the scene. At that point, she reportedly ran over a police officer’s foot with her pickup truck.

She is facing charges of fleeing and eluding police, resting and obstructing, and disturbing the peace.

The incident occurred Thursday at Jet’s Pizza in Grand Haven, Mich., when the suspect allegedly became upset after one of the restaurant’s workers asked her to wear a mask, according to Fox 4KC.

North allegedly responded to the face mask request by sticking her hands underneath the plexiglass barrier at the counter and flipping off employees, Fox 4 reports. She also reportedly kicked another customer that attempted to intervene.

By the time Grand Haven Department of Public Safety Officer Everado Pedroza Jr. arrived, North was getting into her pickup truck. Pedroza reportedly ordered her to stop.

That’s when North allegedly back over the officer’s foot with her truck, police said. North was then taken into custody.

The officer was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to fully recover.
