Marjorie Taylor Greene Just Picked a Fight With a Chatbot After The Bot Questioned Her Faith

Staff Writer

Marjorie Taylor Greene just went head-to-head with a chatbot—and it got messy. The Georgia Congresswoman, known for her far-right views, clashed with Grok, Elon Musk’s AI assistant on X, after the bot questioned her faith.

It all started when Greene posted on X about her Christianity, saying: “I’m a Christian, an imperfect sinner saved by grace and faith in Jesus. I’m a nationalist, a proud American… I’m a Representative, elected to serve the greatest people from the greatest district on the greatest country on Earth! May God bless each of you and may God bless America!!!”

Someone ran her post through Grok, asking if she was “really a Christian.” The AI didn’t hold back:

“She identifies as a Christian,” Grok said, “but her Christian nationalism and support for conspiracy theories, like QAnon, spark debate. Critics say her actions go against Christian values of love and unity, pointing to her defense of January 6 and divisive talk.”

Grok added: “Whether she’s ‘really’ a Christian is subjective… Her faith seems real to her, but her actions cause controversy.”

That didn’t sit well with Greene, and she fired back.

“.@grok the judgement seat belongs to GOD, not you a non-human AI platform. Grok is left leaning and continues to spread fake news and propaganda,” she wrote. “When people give up their own discernment, stop seeking the truth, and depend on AI to analyze information, they will be lost.”

Another user then asked Grok if Greene’s voting record matches Jesus’ teachings.

Grok’s one-word answer: “No.”

This isn’t Grok’s first controversy. The AI recently stirred outrage for denying the Holocaust—something it blamed on a “programming error”—and for spreading false claims about “white genocide” in South Africa.

All of this is happening on a platform owned by Elon Musk, who calls Grok the world’s “smartest AI” and backs Trump.

Washington Post columnist Philip Bump couldn’t help but joke: “lol mtg is fighting with a computer about god.”

Meanwhile, Greene keeps pushing Trump’s agenda in Congress, recently voting for a big budget deal that funds border security but cuts programs like Medicaid and Social Security.

Now, it looks like she’s targeting AI bots too.
