Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is being ridiculed after no one showed up to her pro–Donald Trump rally in New York City, except George Santos, and was forced to flee the booing crowd just a few minutes after her arrival.
The QAnon congresswoman’s arrival brought “utter pandemonium” to the park opposite the Lower Manhattan court, with her attempts to address fellow Trump supporters being drowned out by the racket and ultimately ending in defeat.
Videos shared online show some of the attendees at the protests booing Greene, while some others can be heard yelling “liar” and “get out of here!”
The rally was in protest of Trump’s arraignment, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, following last week’s indictment of the former president by a Manhattan grand jury.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has investigated Trump in connection with an alleged hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election, which could be a felony violation of campaign finance laws.
After her rally, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) slammed Greene for not working in her district and stead spewing divisive rhetoric in New York.
“Go back to your district. What are you doing here? You’re here for politics, you’re here because you want to be VP … you’re here for your own nonsense.”
Following her failed stunt, Greene compared Trump to Nelson Mandela and Jesus Christ, telling the Right Side Broadcasting Network, “Trump is joining some of the most incredible people in history being arrested today. Nelson Mandela was arrested and served time in prison. Jesus was arrested and murdered by the Roman government.”
