Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) attacked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) by calling her a woman who has “never been married, has no children,” and “never had a job other than working in a bar.”

Greene made these comments about Ocasio-Cortez, who has become a strong voice in the Democratic Party, during a Tuesday appearance on The Eric Bolling Show.

“This is a woman, she’s never been married, she has no children, she’s never had a job other than working in a bar, and that was short term for what we understand, she’s never run a business,” Greene said. “This is a woman that has really no life experience and has no life wisdom because she’s never done any of those things.”

Greene added, “This is why no one will take her serious as a presidential candidate.”

Greene and Ocasio-Cortez have clashed multiple times in Congress.

The comments come as Ocasio-Cortez has teamed up with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) for a speaking tour and is being discussed as a possible challenger to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) in the next primary.

Ocasio-Cortez, a young progressive leader, was elected in 2018 at age 29, making her the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. She has built a large following, especially among millennials and Gen Z, thanks to her outspoken views both in Congress and on social media.

While Ocasio-Cortez usually keeps her personal life private, she got engaged to Riley Roberts in 2022.

Greene, who has three children, went through a divorce in 2022 amid accusations of multiple affairs. Before her political career, she and her husband ran a construction business, which received a PPP loan of $183,504 during the COVID pandemic, and the loan was later forgiven.
