Georgia GOP Rep. and conspiracy evangelist Majorie Taylor Greene responded to a new report linking her to the planning of the January 6 insurrection, calling the article a “pathetic piece of trash.”

The report, published by Rolling Stone, cites Two organizers of the January 6 rally who told the publication that they spoke with Congresswoman Greene of Georgia and someone from her office while planning the event that culminated in a deadly riot at the US Capitol.

According to the report, rally planners had been in contact with congressional offices of Greene, fellow Republican Representatives Louie Gohmert, Paul Gosar, Lauren Boebert, Madison Cawthorn, and Andy Biggs.

In comments made to The Daily Caller, Taylor Greene told the right-wing outlet the allegations against her are “ridiculous” and called the article itself a “pathetic piece of trash.”

Days before the Jan 6 attack, Greene pushed Donald Trump’s baseless claim that the election was “stolen” from him through an unprecedented nationwide conspiracy of voter fraud.

“As a lifelong Georgian, I do not believe Georgia voted for Joe Biden. “I’m solidly convinced that we elected—or re-elected—President Trump,” Greene said during an appearance on Newsmax TV weeks after the 2020 election.

In reality, Biden won Georgia by a margin of 11,779 votes.

Greene has also advocated for violence against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former President Barack Obama, accused former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of slicing off a child’s face and wearing it, harassed student activists for protesting gun violence, said that an airplane never hit the Pentagon during the September 11 terrorist attacks, and many other conspiracy theories.
