Washington D.C. authorities said that a Colorado man who set himself on fire in front of the supreme court on Friday night, died of his injuries after being airlifted to a hospital following the incident, CBS News reports.
The man, identified as 50-year-old Wynn Bruce, of Boulder, Colorado, reportedly went on to the plaza in front of the court building and set himself on fire, the court said in a statement to CBS News.
The court told the outlet that there were no other injuries, and there did not appear to be a public safety concern.
Authorities did not offer any specifics on what his motivation may have been.
