According to a Monmouth University poll released Wednesday, Georgia voters view Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) more favorably than his Trump-backed GOP challenger in the state’s Senate race and more say they are likely to vote for him.
The survey found that 48 percent of Georgia voters view Warnock favorably and 44 percent viewed him unfavorably. At the same time, 42 percent of voters said they viewed challenger Herschel Walker favorably while 48 percent view him unfavorably.
About 45 percent of Georgia voters said they would definitely support Warnock, while 41 percent of voters said the same of Walker. The poll did not directly ask voters who they would vote for between the two men.
Another poll released Wednesday, conducted by CBS News/YouGov, showed Warnock held a slim two-point lead over Walker.
The Cook Political Report rates the race as a “toss up.”
The Monmouth University poll was conducted from September 15 to September 19, and has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.
