Tennessee Congressman Tim Burchett, a staunch MAGA Republican and Trump defender, is recovering after being “accidentally kicked by a horse” on his farm over the weekend. The blow left him with a broken rib and serious bruises, his office confirmed.
Despite the injury, Burchett “hasn’t missed a beat,” said his press secretary, Will Garrett. “There have been no changes to his schedule. He spoke in Maury County last night and has a full slate of district events throughout the week.”
This isn’t the first horse-related injury in the Burchett family. In 2022, his young daughter was hospitalized after being hurt while riding.
“Count our blessings because she’s alive and that’s all we really care about,” Burchett said at the time. “She’s a tough little girl — she’ll be back on that horse.”
Now, it’s the Congressman who’s getting back in the saddle.
