MAGA Rep Blames Dems After Protesters Bring Fake Coffin and Cowbells to His Doorstep

Staff Writer

A MAGA lawmaker lawmaker is pointing fingers at Democrats after a group of protesters showed up at his front door with a coffin and cowbells — a loud symbol of what they say is the “death of democracy.”

The protest, caught on video and aired by Fox News, shows over two dozen people dressed in black carrying a fake coffin to Rep. Bryan Steil’s (R-WI) home. One protester held an upside-down American flag — a traditional sign of distress. Cowbells rang out as the group marched up.

The coffin carried a blunt message: “Here lie the hopes of the most vulnerable killed by the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ signed into law by President Donald J. Trump and endorsed by lyin’ Bryan Steil. RIP democracy 1776-2025.”

Fox News identified one protester as Ellen Holly, former chair of the Walworth County Democratic Party.

The demonstration has been reported to the U.S. Capitol Police. No word yet on whether any charges will be filed.

Rep. Steil responded by accusing Democrats of fueling the protest.

“It’s disappointing that Democrat leadership and the radical left resort to these type of tactics,” he told Fox News. “I remain committed to my work to get this country back on track and will not be deterred by their threats.”

Democratic leaders have not commented publicly on the protest.
