Former President Donald Trump escalated his rhetoric on social media, advocating for televised military tribunals targeting political foes like Liz Cheney, President Joe Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris.
One post amplified by Trump on Truth Social called Cheney guilty of treason and demanded televised tribunals.
“ELIZABETH LYNNE CHENEY IS GUILTY OF TREASON,” the post reads. “RETRUTH IF YOU WANT TELEVISED MILITARY TRIBUNALS.”
In response, Cheney fired back directly at Trump, condemning his instability and unfitness for office.
“Donald – This is the type of thing that demonstrates yet again that you are not a stable adult—and are not fit for office,” she wrote on X.
Trump’s posts also called for the immediate imprisonment of Senate leaders Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former VP Mike Pence, and members of the January 6 Capitol attack investigation committee.
Trump’s threats to prosecute opponents through the Justice Department, initiated over a year ago, reflect his ongoing defiance despite facing multiple felony convictions and pending charges.
