It has been four years since Justice Brett Kavanaugh received a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, but Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) still can’t get over Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing and is leveling new accusations against Democrats for questioning the judge about sexual misconduct allegations against him.
Graham used the final day of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings to let everyone know that he is still angry at Democrats for “destroying Kavanaugh’s life” by having the audacity to inquire about the alleged rape accusations.
“This hearing is coming to an end,” Graham said. “If you compare this to Kavanaugh, you’ve missed a lot. I’ve never complained about Kavanaugh or anybody else being asked a hard question. I have complained about their lives being destroyed by a coordinated effort of Democrats and the mainstream media of trying to destroy somebody to keep a seat open.”
“That didn’t happen! I found her completely evasive,” Graham said of Jackson.
Last week, Graham said that his position to Jackson “is based upon her record of judicial activism, flawed sentencing methodology regarding child pornography cases and a belief Judge Jackson will not be deterred by the plain meaning of the law when it comes to liberal causes.”
However, legal experts say the South Carolina Republican is voting ‘no’ on Jackson’s appointment to the Supreme Court as revenge over Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing.
