Lauren Boebert underwent surgery to address a blood clot, as revealed by reports and social media updates on Tuesday. The representative from Colorado was diagnosed with May-Thurner Syndrome and received treatment for the condition.
May-Thurner Syndrome, a rare vascular ailment, predominantly affects women aged 20 to 45, as per the Center for Vascular Medicine.
Boebert expressed optimism about her recovery in a statement posted on Facebook, thanking Dr. Rebecca Bade and the medical team at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies for their care and support. She looks forward to returning to Congress soon to continue advocating for Colorado.
“I want to thank Dr. Rebecca Bade and the entire team at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies for their great care and providing helpful insight on my recent diagnosis,” Boebert said in a statement posted Tuesday night to Facebook,. “I’m looking forward to making a full recovery and getting back to Congress to continue fighting for Colorado.”
