Fox News host Laura Ingraham is now attacking Democrats for focusing on Jeffrey Epstein — just two weeks after she stood in front of a conservative crowd and demanded more answers about the disgraced sex trafficker herself.
At a conference in Florida earlier this month, Ingraham criticized the lack of transparency in the Epstein investigation. She asked the audience, “How many of you are satisfied – you can clap – satisfied with the results of the Epstein investigation?” No one clapped. She followed up, “How many of you are not satisfied with the results of the investigation?” That question got a loud round of applause.
The Justice Department recently announced it had no plans to release Epstein’s long-rumored client list. Despite years of public interest, the department said there was no list — and the case was effectively closed.
Donald Trump and his Republican allies have largely avoided the issue. Trump has even scolded supporters pushing for more information. Conservative media, including Fox News, have mostly followed suit, shifting attention to other topics like a recent claim from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Gabbard suggested the Obama administration manipulated intelligence to damage Trump, without offering evidence.
Last week, Ingraham teased a report about Trump and Epstein. “[W]e have new news coming on about this as well from The Wall Street Journal, a new report tonight next,” she said. But she never brought it up again during the broadcast.
By Friday, Ingraham had changed her tone entirely — this time blaming Democrats for bringing up Epstein at all. On her show, she suggested they were doing it only to damage Trump.
“It really is quite something for the Democrats to now try to resurrect Epstein when we find out that the core of their identity for 10 years has been that Trump is illegitimate as a politician and a president because of the Russia story,” she said. “The core of their identity, it’s all exposed.”
Ingraham did not mention her own recent calls for more Epstein information — or why the story was worth pursuing two weeks ago, but not now. Watch the clip below via Fox News.
