White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, one of President Trump’s longest-serving aides announced late Sunday that she will leave the administration at the end of the month to focus on family matters The Washington Post reports.
In a statement, Conway said: “This is completely my choice and my voice. In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my beloved children, it will be less drama, more mama.”
Her husband, George Conway, separately wrote on Twitter that he would be stepping away from politics for similar reasons.
Mrs. Conway called her time in the Trump administration “heady” and “humbling,” and said she and George were making the decision based on what they think is best for their four children.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
