Kelly Loeffler Says She’ll Vote For $2,000 Stimulus Checks

Appearing for an interview on Fox News Tuesday, Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler, of Georgia, indicated that she will vote in favor of increasing direct payments to $2,000 per person, saying: “Absolutely, we need to give Americans relief now and I will support that.”

Loeffler, who said in the interview that she has “stood by the president 100% of the time,” running in a pair of runoffs in Georgia next week that will determine control of the Senate. Her GOP colleague, Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.), has not yet weighed in on the stimulus check debate.
