Fox News pundit Kayleigh McEnany ripped into CBS News’ Scott Pelley this week, saying he “should’ve been arrested” for slamming Donald Trump during a college graduation speech.
The former White House press secretary made the explosive comment during Tuesday’s episode of The Five on Fox News, while reacting to Pelley’s now-viral address to graduates at Wake Forest University.
In the speech, Pelley warned students that under Trump, “the rule of law, journalism and freedom of speech are all under attack.”
Fox host Greg Gutfeld wasn’t buying it. “He’s unloading his B.S. on 47,” Gutfeld said, referring to Trump’s potential return to the presidency.
Gutfeld then pointed out the obvious: “He wasn’t arrested after that, you know. He wasn’t arrested, Kayleigh.”
That’s when McEnany dropped the bombshell: “Yeah, well, look, he should have been.”
McEnany didn’t hold back, calling Pelley’s speech dishonest and accusing him of pushing an anti-Trump agenda. She slammed the longtime 60 Minutes host for turning a graduation into a political rally.
“How dare he lecture these graduates,” McEnany said. “They wanted a sunny speech about going off into their careers, and instead they got a load of garbage.”
She also blasted 60 Minutes for what she called biased coverage, referencing the network’s handling of an interview with Kamala Harris before the 2024 election — a segment that drew heavy fire from Trump and his allies at the time.
