There was a surprising turn of events at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday when reports surfaced that Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, were “escorted out” of the ceremony.
The couple, known for their bold and sometimes controversial fashion choices, made a striking entrance at the Crypto.com Arena, both dressed head-to-toe in black. However, things took a dramatic turn when Censori, 30, dropped her black feathered coat in front of photographers to reveal a sheer mini-dress that left little to the imagination.
Entertainment Tonight shared a post on Instagram claiming that West, 47, and Censori had been “escorted out after showing up uninvited.” Although the post was quickly deleted, it spread rapidly across social media platforms. Page Six also reported that the couple was asked to leave by police following the incident, with an insider suggesting the outfit was an attempt to mirror the album cover for West’s 2024 project Vultures 1.
On that cover, West is seen in all black, wearing a mask, while Censori stands beside him, nearly naked except for thigh-high boots and a small piece of black fabric.
However, Variety later refuted these claims, citing a source close to the Grammys who denied that West and Censori were escorted out. According to the source, West simply “walked the carpet, got in his car and left.”
The couple’s attention-grabbing moment did not go unnoticed by Grammys viewers on social media. One person wrote, “Nah. This is crazy… This isn’t haute couture. This isn’t fashion,” while another noted, “The way everyone went silent for a second after she dropped the coat.” A third commented, “So we are just walking around naked now?”
West is nominated for Best Rap Song at the 2025 Grammys for his 2024 hit “Carnival.”
This appearance comes just days after West stirred controversy with a now-deleted tweet about former Vice President Kamala Harris. The tweet, which read, “I used to want to f*** Kamala until she lost. I don’t f*** losers anymore,” was met with backlash. West later apologized to Harris’s children, writing, “Kamala seems like a very nice human. I just wanna say sorry to her kids.”
West and Censori’s relationship began in 2020 when the Australian model worked as an architectural designer for Yeezy. At the time, West was still married to Kim Kardashian, with whom he shares four children. Kardashian filed for divorce in 2021, and their divorce was finalized in November 2022.
Reports suggest that West and Censori were married in a private ceremony in December 2022, shortly before the release of his song “Censori Overload.” They went public with their relationship in January 2023, and Censori has since become known for her provocative outfits, often appearing in near-nude attire while out with West. Last year, she even faced the possibility of jail time after being photographed in nothing but sheer tights during a shopping trip in Paris.
