What started as a House Judiciary Committee hearing on visa policy quickly turned into a roast of Melania Trump’s modeling career, immigration history, and marriage to Donald Trump.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) used her time to tear into what she called hypocrisy from Republicans over immigration “integrity”—and dragged the first lady into the spotlight.

“Integrity isn’t snatching lawful visa holders off the streets and throwing them into unmarked vans,” Crockett said. “Integrity is not revoking visas based on social media posts that hurt somebody’s little feelings, because kids decided they wanted to go after Trump or this administration. We have a thing called free speech in this country.”

She didn’t stop there. Crockett pointed straight at Melania Trump’s EB1 visa—often called the “Einstein visa”—which is supposed to be reserved for people with “extraordinary ability” in their field.

“Let me tell you how you receive an Einstein visa,” she said. “You’re supposed to have some sort of significant achievement, like being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize or a Pulitzer; being an Olympic medalist; or having other sustained extraordinary abilities and success in sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. Last time I checked the first lady had none of those accolades under her belt.”

Crockett then zeroed in on Melania’s modeling past, referencing her 2000 GQ nude photo shoot.

“Melania, the first lady, a model—and when I say model I’m not talking about Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford or Naomi Campbell-level—applied for and was given an EB1 visa.”

She closed her takedown with a line that had the internet buzzing: “It doesn’t take an Einstein to see that the math ain’t mathin’ here.”

That’s when Alex Nowrasteh from the Cato Institute jumped in, attempting to defend Melania—but only made things more awkward.

“Not everybody could marry Donald Trump, and I think that’s quite an achievement, so I think she deserves credit for that,” he joked. “Nobody up here could have done it!”

Crockett fired back instantly: “You sure are right, I couldn’t have done it.”

The fiery exchange lit up social media, with users praising Crockett for calling out what many see as a double standard in how immigration rules are enforced—and who gets special treatment.

Melania Trump has kept a low profile in recent weeks. She appeared earlier this month at a Kennedy Center performance of Les Misérables and later at the White House congressional picnic. But she drew attention after being accused of falling asleep during a military parade that also marked Trump’s 79th birthday.

Her latest social media post was a patriotic shot of the new American flag flying on the White House lawn.
